little living room
little living room is a female and queer-led social enterprise dedicated to supporting career growth and independence for those facing obstacles in pursuing creative careers.
We work with our community to give access to skills development and tools in the creative arts for those in need. We support marginalised creatives on their journey by helping them build their portfolios, providing access to new opportunities and guiding their career development.
Our publishing house curates creative work submitted by the public based on set themes into high quality books.
We primarily accept work by Scottish and Scotland-based creatives, but welcome work by artists from across the UK. We provide kind, constructive feedback aimed at furthering the development of our contributors. We also give all contributors the opportunity to connect with the creatives in our collective. All contributors receive a copy of their issue.
We also donate 20% of our artbooks to at risk and underserved communities in Scotland.
Collective members are given the opportunity to print reproductions of their work with us to sell at events and on the little living room website.
We also enable artists to sell their original works with us, collaborate on the publication, at events and develop workshops with us to share their skills with the public and make creative practices more accesible.
We support our collective members in growing their creative practices, career prospects and financial independence.
